Biography from Alphanautical Gallery Artist Beverly Carrick was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Introduced to art in her childhood, she found joy in creative oil painting. In 1963 she began painting professionally as a seascape artist in the Laguna Beach and Los Angeles areas. Carrick is mostly self-taught, but has sought the expertise of some major artists in her stages of artistic growth including Lukits, Kerr and Franks. She expressed, "Color and light are everything to me"!.
