This playful image "magnificat" is the work of famed and accomplished painter, photographer, jewelry maker, sculptor, and silkscreen print maker Edie Harper (American, 1922–2010).

Married to renowned artist Charley Harper for sixty-three
years, she was best known for her modernist illustrations of childhood memories and biblical stories. Their son Brett Harper has also become a well known artist .

"Magnificat an"original serigraph, signed and numbered, is one of my favorite in my collection of Edie Harper Prints. This one comes unframed (never framed), with all of the original paper work and poem about the print, and newest certificate of Authenticity.


It is numbered #256 out of only 375 and printed in 1983.
