My sweet and weird monster art dolls are all constructed entirely out of vintage fabrics. It is an "ugly" doll that has button detailing and a heart that has been stitched back together, like most of us. The eyes newest are embellished with vintage repurposed buttons with a resin embellishment on the heart. The art doll measures 14" tall from head to the bottom of the foot. The body is 6" wide. And arms are 4 1/2" long measuring a total of 15" across. This plush doll is eco-friendly and cares about the earth. The fairy doll has a variety of colors that coordinate such as browns, greens and reds.
These rag dolls, or monster dolls are not monsters at all. They are fairy dolls meant to bring a smile and a sense of self acceptance the way we are. This particular doll features a variety of vintage fabrics and embellishments. It is even stuffed with scraps of fabric. Nothing has gone to waste in creating this fabric art doll. Each of these plush dolls are a gift of encouragement. They each come with the story as to why I created them and what they represent. I have named my rag dolls, Perfectly Shattered dolls. I named them this because the represent all of us. The card reads as follows:

"Perfectly Shattered Ragdolls are 100% handmade, plush, fairy dolls with a message. They are made with all recycled and vintage materials and objects. Each one is unique and special just like all of us. And, just like the rest of us, they have flaws and not so pretty parts, but that doesn't make them any less special or worthy.

Each stitched fairy doll has a unique combination of fabrics and pieces. They are even stuffed with scraps and pieces that most of us would throw away. These sweet fairies mirror who we are and where we have come from. While we were yet fractured and broken, we were still Loved. They encourage us to press on and find Beauty where we are.

Perfectly Shattered dolls can be custom designed for you or someone you care for with a specific color scheme and embellishments. They can also include a word of encouragement, prayer, poem, spiritual hymn or personal note within the doll itself, at it's heart.
