Charming 1940s floral print lightweight robe w/belt, wide newest peak lapels Bust 33" petite

What a delightful wartime robe this is, ladies. An original 1940s belted robe, its in a lighter weight, slippery acetate type fabric of a cool white printed with the sweetest sketchy blossoms with daubs of indigo and turquoise blue and a delicate blush pink. A button front robe, the front and back are both shaped with princess panels from shoulder to hemline in the elegantly flared skirt; additional pairs of short waist darts on each side front fit the waist further, under the original self sash belt. And with very handsome details of lightly puffed shoulders and a wide peak lapel collar, its pert and pretty too. Ready to keep that 1940s style going from breakfast, through WFH and all the way through putting up those pincurls for a night on the town, on a diminutive vintage kitty.

Measurements:

bust: 35": would fit a 33" bust well as a garment might be newest underneath.

waist: 30" : will fit a 27" waist well or less if belted tighter.

hip: 46", measured 8" below waist level.

bodice length: 15" from intersection of neckline and shoulder to waist level- short bodice.

skirt length: 38 3/4" from waist level to hemline.

back shoulder: 13" measured horizontally below shoulder top line.

*NOTES on fit: the robe is small and petite, with bust fullness and waist sitting higher than average, and slim shoulders; it is shown on my lean, tall bust 33" mannequin and fits her, but the bust and waist are indeed too high on her, this robe is for our short and petite sisters. *

Labels: no labels, looks to be a carefully home- or dressmaker -made robe. Unlined.

Closure: 3 clear buttons down centre front ending just above hip level; robe opens completely.

Condition: This robe is in fair to good vintage condition. NO popped seams, NO discolour or tanning from wear, it is freshly washed and ready to wear. The pink and turquoise in the print has lightened a bit on the back bodice and sleeves. There is a group of several scattered tiny pinholes and 2 pinhead sized holes on left front bodice at waist level and below, see the very close up pic as an example, there is another minute pair on right side of bodice- all so very small and several are under belt when worn. Lastly there is a small patch at back hemline, see other close up pic provided, nicely done. All in all not perfect enough for scrutinised out-of -doors wear, but as lovely as ever for lounging at home in 40s style.
