A little gem of an ashtray, resembles a pink heart! The colour is more blush than pink.
The glass artist pinched 3 sides for the cigarette/cigar rests. You will notice the gold leaf flecks throughout the body of the ashtray.
The Bullicante technique introduced by Murano consists of tiny bubbles that resemble the bubbles in boiling water, thus calling this technique “bullicante” which literally means “boiling”. Decorating the inside layers with gold leaf and other colors, making each piece even more valuable and unique.
