This unique beautiful nesting doll (matrioshka, matryoshka) was painted by Russian artist Ziatdinova in Izhevsk, USSR in 1989. The art work is great. The set has 7 dolls. The subjects of paintings are copies of paintings of famous artist from Republic of Georgia Niko Pirosmani.
Niko Pirosmani (Georgian:ნიკო ფიროსმანი) (1862–1918), was a Georgian and Russian naïve painter. His rustic, everyday scenes are newest celebrated today for their depiction of the Georgia of Pirosmani's lifetime, and he has become one of the country's most beloved artistic figures. The size of the doll is 6.5” tall and 3.5” diameter. All dolls are painted all around. The doll is one of a kind. Great for collection.
