Soft and so sweet ! ~ *~A stunning piece of textile history~*~Hand woven hemp at it's best! This sack too has hand stitched seams up the sides ~ This is a fustian sack, with cotton warp and linen weft ~ Natural and LOVELY Warm toned ground ~ The stripe colors are red and black ( or a VERY VERY dark inky blue ?) ~ This lovely sack dates c 1900 or a bit older ~ This lovely pillow sack is 100% hand-woven and comes from Eastern Europe and dates newest around the turn of the century. These lovely textiles are found today in dowry chests, having been kept safe for many years~*~ with beautiful decorative stripes . Hand woven textile ~*~ . It is heavy weight, with gorgeous twill weave. This body of this stunning textile is a warm, natural tone ~ *~ ( sack J6)
