This vibrant monarch butterfly stained glass mosaic panel has been created using various shades of orange, white, and pastel pink, blue, and lavender hand-cut stained glass. The glass pieces have adhered to a sheet of clear glass permanently mounted in a vintage solid wood frame (12 3/4" x 10 3/4" -measured to outer frame edge) and then finished with black colored grout. Includes screw eyes and hanging kit.

Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blend the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted thru it.
The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display.
