Product code: Antique Silver Muffineer, Sheffield England Sugar Caster, Repousse Chased Roses, Applied Lion Masks and Paws, Israel newest Freeman and Sons

This highly ornate silver plate Muffineer or sugar caster is from early 1900, from Israel Freeman and Sons LTD. of Sheffield England.

It is in the shape of the casters from mid 1700's with a bulge or pear shape, and body and cover have decorative displays of floral and rococo motifs.
It is almost completely embellished with chased and embossed designs on the body and lid. The lid has piercing all around for very fine sugar.
The interior is very clean and had slight remnants of powdered confectioners sugar.

It rests on 3 applied molded lion masks a paw feet. ( My most favorite part! )

It has an impressed mark of hand holding hammer over I.F.S. Ltd , Made in England, Hand Chased.

Truly an exceptional addition to newest your fine dining or afternoon tea. Don't save it for just special occasions, I suggest using it regularly... breakfast, brunch, tea time!

Photos taken in different light.
It measures approx 6 1/2" tall and 9 " around the lion masks.
It is in excellent condition, I can find no wear through the silver to the brass.
The lid fits snugly.
I only wiped with a silver cloth, so not to remove the patina.

Feel free to ask for more info as there is no return or exchange.
