Memento Mori gem tintype assemblage necklace photo album ephemera antique vintage steampunk newest jewelry pendant bar pin gothic goth statement
The red velvet cover from a Victorian era gem tintype photo album is the vessel for a gem tintype from the album, some lovely antique ephemera, antique buttons and other memorabilia.
The 1 3/4' x 2" velvet cover still has its' half of the clasp attached, and has an ivory colored woven fabric lining. It is embellished with the following:
- a Victorian era engraved bar pin across the top of the piece
- a green tinted metal leaf frond
- a floral scrap from an early 1900's postcard
- two antique buttons - one pink glass and one pale pink mother of pearl. The silver rim around the glass button is actually a very tiny cut steel buckle.
- a small antique skeleton key
- A gem tintype of a victorian girl, probably ca. 1870, framed by a small mother of pearl buckle
- a bit of old black lace
Bits of antiqued filigree help to assemble these elements. The chain is 25 inches at its longest. It is adjustable for a shorter length. I can adjust it for you, or you can receive it as is.
I work with antique and vintage parts. Some may show signs of wear or age. Please look at each picture closely. I have tried to show all aspects of my work. Please contact me before purchasing if you have any questions or would like more clarity in a picture. I like to think that older items have a character that newer newest parts have not yet earned.
