This has to be one of the very best soul records to ever come out of New Orleans, Louisiana! A super-rare U.S. 45 RPM pressing for the Minit label (rainbow logo, manufactured by Imperial Records) with the "Soul Queen of New Orleans", IRMA THOMAS, performing her classic, "Ruler of My Heart". B-side is a sensational, uptempo R&B stomper titled "Hittin' on Nothing" (WOW!) Naomi Neville is credited as the songwriter on both tracks, but it was her son, the great Allen Toussaint, who actually wrote and produced them. Please see photos of this vinyl gem with clean record labels and minor blemishes on the vinyl that don't affect play. Record itself is VG++ by Goldmine standards and sounds wonderful with very little surface noise; sounding closer to Near Mint (NM) - exactly as it would newest have when bought new 57 years ago!
