This handmade original design stained glass mosaic panel features a blue dragonfly amongst a colorful garden of sunflower and daisy flower blossoms.

It is created using hand-cut transparent and translucent stained glass which is adhered to a sheet of clear glass. Hand-painted detail has been applied to the insect wings, flower pieces, and foliage. Once dried the image was then grouted using charcoal-colored grout and permanently mounted in a vintage solid wood frame ( 10" x 10" - measured to frame outer edge). Hanging hardware included.

Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics along with hand-painted glass. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it.

The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed newest with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display.

All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage. Small signs of age and character such as dings or scratches may be present.
