newest This original woodcut print was inspired by a walk through the woods on a trail during a family vacation. This trail led to a small pond where the local beavers live and this tree was one of the few still standing in the area closest to the beaver dam. All the other trees around it were taken either by the beaver or a recent tornado that wen through the park a few months prior.
This print was created using a couple different techniques and materials. The print was carved into wood and is printed over pages of an old dictionary making each print unique because each print is printed on a different page.
Before each print was printed, each page of dictionary paper was cut to size and spray painted before being printed and adhered to the white paper at the same time.
Each woodblock was hand carved and run through an intaglio printing press.
The ink used to print this is a soy based, eco-friendly ink combined with acrylic spray paint.
This edition is limited and is printed from a piece of wood from a theater set that was getting thrown.
