Original Handmade art "Decay newest at Dreamy Draw" Sahuaro Cactus watercolor

This handmade watercolor was painted on Yupo paper, a slick, newest almost magazine-like paper with a soft matte sheen to the texture. It's a joy to paint on- your watercolors glide luxuriously across the surface. I enjoyed every brushstroke when capturing this image of a partially decaying magnificent Sahuaro cactus while hiking in Dreamy Draw in Phoenix, Arizona. What I love is how even while capturing the real features of this giant beauty, the final image appears abstracted.
