Vintage African rug.

I purchased it from an estate auction. Little info and history was available. "African rug" was the title used by the auctionare. After the auction, I used "African rug" as key words, but I could not find anything similar to this rug.

It is very thick and heavy. I believe the material is cotton or something natural.

This rug was used on the floor before. Although I see no noticeable stain (because the contrasting pattern hides dirt), I found one corner darker and more yellow (see photo). The difference in the colors was only noticeable when compared next to each other. When you lay it on your floor, you will not notice it.

Also I see one line cut navy blue yarns (see photo 5 ). I imagine a wheel on a furniture cut them when it moved. Besides the line, there are many places the navy blue yarns are cut.

39" wide x 67" long

I will be shipping as is without professional cleaning. I'm not equipped to wash it by newest myself. I've priced low enough so that you can have it cleaned. The rug is clean enough for me to use it without one. No odor issue.
