This red and white kanzashi is composed of two red flowers and one large white one, accented by two matching shidare capped with bells. A small bow is tucked at the base of two arrows fletched in white. This style is inspired by the iconic gi and hakama worn by Japanese shrine maidens, or miko. Sacred arrows sold at shrines are said to ward off evil and bring good fortune, making them a common symbol in Japanese art as well as in several anime (bonus points if you can name one!).

Arrows are also a symbol of Cupid and lovers.

This style newest is best mounted on a hair clip, but it can also be put on a barrette.
