Dating from the 19th century this French spelter figure has an inkwell incorporated into the rock the quarry man is attempting to break. The well is accessed by lifting the top of the rock, and it is complete with the original porcelain fitting
The finish is a dark newest two tone bronze coloured patinated finish which has some slight wear and flaking commensurate with age
