Baby's Bouquet, written and illustrated by Walter Crane, published in London by Frederick Warne. There is no printing date on this book, undated copies resembling this one are estimated to be circa 1880's. The paper-covered board measures 7.5 x 7.5 and is 56 pages long.
This is an exquisite little book — it consists of illustrations and music for classic old nursery rhymes and songs. Crane's caligraphy is wonderfull and the illustrations are very similar in style to Kate Greenaway.
This copy is in very good condition — see the notes below. It would be a stunning addition to a collection or a beautiful gift for parents-to-be.
CONDITION NOTES
The board shows a good deal of wear around the edges, where there is rubbing down to the boards. There is also wear and soiling on the cover. The interior is in exceptional condition — the binding is very sound, the pages show little age-related tanning and there is newest no damage to the pages.
