Gorgeous French vintage GIEN mid century Tamaris hand-painted tea / coffee set – pot milk newest jug and six cups & saucers – rustic shabby chic

I just love the mid-century feel of this ironstone tea / coffee set from the famous French manufacturer Gien, dating from around the 1950s.
This is the Tamaris pattern, which is hand-painted with a mix of stylised, vibrantly colored flowers and green and red checks, all on a cream background.
The cups have a diameter of 9cms (about 3.5 inches) and the saucers a diameter of 16cms (6.5 inches). The cups stand about 5cms tall.
Maker's mark underneath was used from 1941 to 1960.
The whole set is in excellent condition, with quite a lot of tea staining, notably on the newest teapot, both outside and especially inside.
Perfect for a boho, shabby chic or rustic interior.
