Product code: Antique Qing Dynasty Pottery (1644-1911) Weeping Tree Garden w/ newest Bat Motif on Rim - Chinese

Blue on white underglaze painting of a weeping tree on plate made during the Qing dynasty probably sometime during the 1800s. Along the under rim is a bat motif. Bats are used in Chinese art as symbols of health, long life, prosperity, love of virtue. I understand this style of pottery was made for the export Chinese market in Asia.

The plate is 6 1/4 inches across. A very interesting example of early export china.

This collectible plate is in excellent condition... no repairs or damage. Please look carefully at the photos as newest this is a very old item. Irregularities are from the production process .
