Kintsugi ("golden joinery" ) is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, embracing its flaws and highlighting its imperfections. Using golden epoxy, Kintsugi artists highlight the object's cracks and imperfections and honor its history; transforming a once-broken, useless piece into a priceless piece of art. It is also known as Kintsukuroi ("golden repair").

The Kintsugi philosophy is similar to wabi sabi, a Zen state of mind that accepts that the world is full of imperfection. Kintsugi is the process of respecting, embracing and celebrating an object's history, despite its modern-world "flaws."

These unique pieces have been created using the Kintsugi crack method. They will never be replicated.

Kintsugi objects should NOT be used for food, or in a dishwasher or microwave. It is recommended that vases are used for faux floral arrangements only. Our studio does NOT use Japanese urushi resin due to the newest potential of allergic reactions.

Wipe with a dry, soft cloth to clean.
