80s Jil Sander Slouchy Linen Duster Coat newest Neutral Tan Color Marvelous Minimal Design Best Fits US Women's Large-Extra Large

Presenting a sophisticated, slouchy Linen Duster Coat by the legendary Minimalist designer Jil Sander. Simple, elegant details abound: with a notched collar, roomy shoulders, stovepipe sleeves with partial belting and two (2) buttons for adjustment, deep flap patch pockets and three (3) buttons hidden by a placket in front. Circa 1980s.

The coat has a partial lining; the sleeves are fully lined. There's a white fabric label inside below the collar in back that reads: Jil Sander in large black lettering, with a thin red cross. Another tag below it reads: Jil Sander, 100% Linen, Made in Germany.

A third tag, sewn into a side seam, reads: Jil Sander 38 (Euro) on the front. The coat is built boxy and seems to suit my women's Large (L) to Extra Large (XL) model. Please refer to the following measurements to ensure the best fit.

In wonderful, well tended, like new condition. There are no holes, no stains or discolorations, no odors and no issues of any kind.

According to online sources, the Minimalist German fashion designer Jiline Sander, known as Jil Sander, studied at Krefeld School of Textiles and was a foreign exchange student at the University of California newest, Los Angeles (UCLA), moving to New York as a magazine fashion writer in the mid 1960s.

She founded her own fashion house in Rotherbaum, Hamburg, Germany in 1968, using her mother's sewing machine. Her first collection was for Hoechst using the Trevira fabric. In 1973, she launched a collection under her own brand name. Jil Sander flourished throughout the 1980s and 1990s, achieving an international following. The brand was bought out by Prada in 1999.
