Product code: Red Trade bead bracelet with weathered antique beads, white hearts, tic newest tac toe

This bracelet features the best reds. And all of them venerable beads. You will find the highly collectible 'cornaline d'Aleppo's': old Venetian beads that were traded into the America's. They have a white core, and a semi-transparant red upper layer, to make the red come out even more brilliant. To obtain a lumious red, gold flakes were added to the glass paste - a Venetian recipe.
Even after many years of wear, these beads have a huge appeal, and held up to the light, their red is exciting. This bracelet has three of them: two tubular and one globular, with traces of white dots (so called 'skunk' bead).
The striped bead next to the silver bead is a very old bead too. I love the fine stripes in white and blue on the surface. This one too, was used in the early trade.
On the other side of the silver bead sits another highly collective bead: a rare 1800's Jasper bead from Africa. Made by the Yoruba people, and a high newest status bead. It made gifts that kings exchanged. It has a gorgeous patina.
The brown bead with the black and white dots ('tic tac toe bead') is an old Venetian bead too. It is in a marvelous condition.
The two brown beads near the claps are among the oldest type of trade bead that was used in the North American fur trade.

Finally: the silver! You will find an antique Turkmen bead in the centre, and antique Yemeni bells and spacers throughout. The bicone beads are from Kenya.

A stunner with well worn highly collectible beads.

SIZE: it measures approx. 6.5 inches (16.5 cm). See pictures for dimensions. It closes with a sturdy hand made silver clasp. If you need more length, I can add more rings at a small extra cost.

It comes in a nice eco friendly jewelry box, ready for gift giving.

It ships with track and trace.

I ship within one business day. To the USA, Canada and Australia it usually takes two weeks for my packages to arrive. Within Europe, delivery takes a few days up to a week. Handling at the customs may cause a delay.
