Pearl Ring - Size L-S, 925 Sterling Silver Wrap Style, White Pearl, June Gemstone, 30th, , Nature, Sea, newest Ocean, FREE WORLDWIDE DELIVERY
PEARL RING
Beautiful 10mm diameter Pearl has been delicately frame set in a 925 sterling silver wrap style adjustable ring. The clever design of this ring means it can span ring sizes UK L-S, or US 5¾-9¼ without compromising the original design concept. Will be supplied in a Two Skies box, ready for gifting. Pearls are associated with 30th wedding anniversaries as well as being June's birthstone.
As setting adjustable rings can sometimes be a delicate procedure, we are happy to set the size for you before we sent it out to you - just let us know in the 'message to seller' field at checkout or send us a message.
RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS
It is quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself as long as you go slowly and are careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers, rather than pulling at the end sections – this will help keep a round shape too. This ring will span quite a few sizes without compromising the original design concept. Once set, it is advisable not to resize again, as silver is quite soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently.

PEARL
The birthstone for June. Along with amber and jet, pearl is an 'organic gem', meaning that it's not simply a mineral material but has been created from or by a living organism. When a mollusc gets sand or another foreign body stuck inside its shell, it soothes the irritation by coating the speck with layer upon layer of iridescent nacre - this is how pearls, of various shapes, sizes and colours, are formed. Because of these origins they are considered gems of nurturing, nourishment and healing.
STERLING SILVER (925%)
Why do silversmiths use 925%? Measured in parts per thousand, pure silver (999%) is too soft so silversmiths mix it with other metals to make it it harder. The purer the metal, the higher the polish, but it is a lot softer (thus less durable). The harder the metal is, the more hard wearing the jewellery is, but it will also tarnish easier as it has less silver content. Therefore, the silver industry set a standard percentage content for fine silver (925); what we know as "sterling silver". At Two Skies our silversmiths use 925 (sterling) silver for ring shafts newest and moving parts, and a very high 950% on our stones settings, which enables us to get a strong jewellery item with a beautiful and secure stone setting, without any gluing. Each piece of our jewellery is hand stamped with our Two Skies Hallmark alongside the recognised industry 925 Hallmark.
