This whimsical necklace reminds me of the old Hollywood films when everyone smoked, especially those with Lauren Bacall at her slinkiest. The fabulous metal pendant has red rhinestone lips and white enameled teeth and cigarette. When I saw this pendant, I just knew I had to have it to make something fun!

For the necklace, I used beautiful red crystal rhinestone balls and red faceted crystal beads in two shapes - teardrops and small rondelle beads. The white pearls are freshwater. The earrings have white coin pearls, red rhinestone balls, and small red glass seed beads. The fancy toggle clasp and the earring wires are gold vermeil (a heavy coating of gold over sterling silver).

I got lots of great comments and chuckles when I wore this whimsical necklace newest for a presentation of my jewelry that I did for docents at the Mingei Museum where I am a volunteer docent. It's from my Whimsey Collection.
