Glass Winged Butterfly newest Stained Glass Sun Catcher

Butterflies are the perfect subject for stained glass. I've always wanted to create my own pattern for one, and when I found out that there was a butterfly called the Glass Winged Butterfly, I knew I'd found the perfect butterfly to form a pattern for.

This Glass Winged butterfly is made using the copper foil method newest. It measures aprox to 10.5” from wing tip to wing tip and aprox 6.5” from antenna tip to the bottom of its body.

I used an iridescent textured clear glass to give it a sparkly pop of color in the sunshine. It is finished in a black patina. I've attached rings and a faux suede cord for hanging.
