Hand Painted NIPPON Porcelain Vase ~ Moriage newest Style ~ Gold Outlines and Soft Colors ~ Japan ~ Hallmarked
~ Absolutely stunning Nippon porcelain vase - 7.5" tall - small opening for flowers.
~ Moriage style adorned with gorgeous gold work on flowers, leaves, newest swirls and beads - soft, pastel colors. This dates around 1940s due to the style.
~ Signed on the bottom in green with the Nippon hallmark - a cursive "M" (for Morimura Bros., who were importers) inside a wreath - "Hand Painted" is over the hallmark and "Nippon" is under it - this mark has been used since in 1911 and is seen in blue, green, magenta and gold colors.
~ Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs or crazing - there is a very small scratch and two manufacturing flaws of a raised bump and a small divot. (see photos)
FYI: There are many fake pieces out there with a fake mark - a few tells are that the fake mark has no stem on the bottom leaf or it is a rounded stem and the lettering has differences - some have the wreath closed at the top.
