Unlike other mass-produced, rattan-style bags, I guarantee that my bags are 100% authentic, handcrafted by Balinese artisans.

The bag is made of ata grass, a rainforest plant recognized for its durability and resistance to heat, water, and insects. Ata grass is first harvested and split. Each bag newest is handwoven which takes approximately a month to make. The bags are then dried in the sun to harden and then smoked over a coconut husk fire, imparting their distinctive glossy, golden finish. Finally, the Balinese batik fabric is sewn to the interior. The toasty aroma from being toasted over the coconuts is the signature sign of a genuine Bali bag. The aroma is not permanent and will fade over time.

Due to being handmade, no two bags are identical. Color, size, batik pattern may vary slightly.

How to care: Lightly wipe the bag with a damp soft cloth (no soap). If a piece of grass turns outward, trim it with nail clippers to avoid potential clothing snags.
