Christmas Gift. Resin and Wood Pedestal Bowl with Lid, Handmade on Wood Lathe, Candy Dish, Centerpiece, Wood and newest Resin Art

This striking pedestal bowl was hand turned from blue (and other colors) resin The resin was cast in a mold with mixed small pieces of maple, walnut, driftwood, and mahogany. It was then shaped on a wood lathe into it's graceful shape. The stem of the pedestal newest was turned from mahogany. The lid and base are crafted of maple that has been lightly dyed with a blue wood dye. All of the different colors, woods and design add up to a very beautiful and unique piece of wood art. If the bowl is held to the light (or placed by a sunny window) the colors of the resin become vibrant and translucent. The piece is finished with with a lacquer and hand polished to give it a lustrous shine. It would make a lovely centerpiece or candy dish on a small table, displayed as art on a shelf or piece of furniture and would make a unique gift that would be treasured for years to come.
