Vintage Compact Gold on Gold
This stunning vintage Compact has a unique cover with an engine turned Persian style gold on gold design that looks to be inspired by the Arabian nights! The gold on gold exotic design is contrasted by the use of super shiny gold tone metal combined with satin or etched textured gold tone metal, very elegant. there is a push button clasp which reveals a mirror inside the cover and a covered loose powder well inside the base The cover of the well has a textured grid or basket weave patter. the inside of the well is clean and it has the original powder puff that is pink and looks to have been very lightly used. the bottom of the compact also has a texture gold metal pattern with a shiny gold rims and a rectangle in the center. This piece does not have a signature or brand but is nicely made and designed.
Measures 3 1/8" x 3" x 7/16". This compact is in very good vintage condition, the metal is still shiny and bright. The mirror is reflective and very usable but does have a few small age spots. Please see all photos.
