Selling Ferocactus NOID x Hybrid. You are buying the exact long-spined coastal fire barrel cactus as shown, currently growing in a 5-gallon nursery container. Overall specs are 10" tall x newest 12" wide (measured spine to spine). This particular barrel is over ten years old, and due to its size/age, long-lasting flame-orange flowers appear throughout the summer (see flowering barrel photo). This is a very peculiar one of a king hybrid. I have a large colony of these growing, which ultimately stays relatively small and robust, while some tapers at the base. It demonstrates an atypical wide glaucus blue body and long, reddish-pink, slightly hooked spines. I suspected this to be a Ferocactus emoryi var. rectispinus, but the flowers and fruit are darker.
