newest This smiling sun embroidered panel has been set into a quilted frame of Indonesian fabric. The sun motif was inspired by an 18th century engraving. The sun is embroidered by hand in yellow black and gold threads and the frame is hand quilted in yellow thread. The back of the piece is the same Indonesian fabric embellished with four appliqued yellow felt stars. All of the stitching in this quilt is done by hand. It measures 20cm by 20 cm, or 8 inches by 8 inches.
The mini quilt hangs by means of a dowel which runs through a channel on the back of the quilt and has a hand-braided thread looped around it. The dowel can be easily removed and you can have the quilt framed, or it can just be laid onto a display surface, as a table decoration, for instance. The quilt and dowel are very light so will not put any strain onto a wall.
Hand washable; gentle cool wash, do not wring, dry flat.
