Sherman • Signed • Vintage, late 1950s Lovely layered alexandrite and pink colour clip on earrings. The plating is rhodium.
The design uses marquise (navette), round, and chaton shape Swarovski crystals in a leaf cluster and in the scarce colour of purple alexandrite, and pink. These clips are comfortable and had the right tension
The earrings measure 1.” x .75”. All stones are original. None are loose or have been repaired. The plating is glossy.
Beautiful and scarce! ✨
“Sherman had all his jewelry triple plated rhodium, or if the piece was gold it was triple gold plated.”
⭐️ NOTE: This expense of triple plating, and using the most expensive Swarovski crystals, are one way of identifying *unsigned pieces.
Many, many pieces of his jewellery are *unsigned. They are his work! ✨

Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman newest pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. “Jewels of Elegance” by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981.
