newest Vintage 1970s satin wrap skirt. Crisp black satin with a green, blue, and purple shooting star that wraps around the hips. Unlined. Playful and unusual.

Fabric: crisp satin (feels like a synthetic as opposed to silk, etc). Freshly laundered.

Size: the skirt measures 25" around at the waist (i.e. 12.5" measured flat across). From top of waist to bottom hem, the skirt is 25.5" long. Its construction differs from other 70s wrap skirts in that the waist is a band that ties at one side, and then there is a [waistband-less] flap that wraps inside and ties on the interior with separate smaller ties. This style allows the waist to lay nicely with no extra bulk from the wrap, but it also gives the skirt a bit more of a fixed size. Would likely work for 24-26" but much more than that starts to make me nervous :) Please compare the aforementioned actual measurements and compre to the measurements of your favorite non-stretch skirt to best gauge fit.

Condition: sturdy and wearable vintage condition, with age having had its way with the violet satin, leaving it pink in some places (pictured). Sold in as-found condition -- has been steamed but not laundered. See photos.
