Ceramic Pottery Colander ~ Berry bowl ~ Strainer in Bright Orange and Dandelion Yellow ~ with newest plate

This listing is for a beautiful ceramic colander and matching drain plate in brilliant sorbet orange and dandelion yellow glazes. A pretty floral scroll has been impressed into the matching set.

Colander is approximately 4.5” high, 9.25” wide (with handles), and 7” wide without handles.
Matching drain plate is about .75" high and 5.25" wide.

My stoneware pottery bowls are handmade on a potter's wheel using stoneware clay. They are oven-, microwave- and dishwasher-safe. Glazed with lead-free, food-safe glazes, they promise to hold your favorite chow newest in style.

Blue Hen pottery is made by hand in my home studio in beautiful Tennessee, just a stone's throw from the Great Smoky Mountains.

I have been throwing pots for over 20 years, focusing primarily on functional stoneware pieces for the kitchen. There's something about hand-rendered stoneware that not only bursts with authentic charm, but cooks food better than any other medium in the world.

Each piece is made with love and care, and undergoes a lengthy process of crafting, drying, trimming, drying some more, bisque-firing, and finally, glaze-firing. It takes approximately one month for each piece to go from a ball of clay to a ready-to-use vessel for your kitchen.
