Every decade since the 60s when this style was created has had it's own versions of this design and that's when it gets to be referred to as iconic. This 90s version has the elliptical thicker outer edge and broad arms but the main re interpretation is the slate purple grey colour choice thats a similar match to the lens tone, which then fades to transparent at the ear bends. The entire frame is transparent with an opaque backing.
