This listing is for a one of a kind ceramic folk-style wall art featuring cats, clouds and flowers - all details done with underglazes in the sgraffito technique.

This original clay artwork is handbuilt and decorated using various underglazes and transparent glaze.

At first I built it using a fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of each clay detail had reached the so-called ‘leather-hard' stage, I applied underglazes newest and drew as well as carved out the folk-style design.

Next, the decorated item went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, and it went into the kiln again for the second firing.
